The Mission of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church
In response to God's grace and love
extended to us through his Son Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit,
we are called:
The
Outreach Ministry maintains a year-round steady flow of community outreach
programs, including Bay Path Home and Community
Services, Inc., Boys and Girls Club of Greater Marlboro, Inc., Morgan Memorial
Goodwill Industries, Inc., Town of Framingham Council on Aging, Justice Resource
Institute (The Butler Center), Interfaith AIDS Ministry, Inc., and Turning Point
Shelter.
St.
Andrew's has supported Habitat for Humanity, both by a grant to help establish
the MetroWest Chapter and through parishioners serving on the Board and
contributing their time and skills to the building of the first house.
St.
Andrew's opens its doors to several community groups, including Boy Scouts and
Cub Scouts, Scrabble, AA and related groups.
Every
other Sunday, a group of parishioners go to Carlyle House, a nearby nursing
home, to sing hymns with the residents between services.
A
group of faithful parishioners volunteer their time once a month to assist with
the Salvation Army soup kitchen.
