The Mission of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church
In response to God's grace and love
extended to us through his Son Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit,
we are called:
Prayer
and Healing
- The Prayer Shrine at St.
Andrew's, supported by our Prayer Shrine Ministers, is available to all
desiring prayer for themselves or others.
- Lay
Eucharistic Ministers visit home-bound parishioners each week, extending the
Eucharist table to include them as part of our parish family.
Education
and Study
- Christian
Education is offered for all ages on Sunday mornings. Frequently, there is more than one
adult education offering available.
- Men's
Journey Through the Word, a bible study group for men, meets weekly on Saturday
mornings.
Pastoral
Care and Action
- The
Guild of St. James gathers once a month for a service of Holy Eucharist and
light luncheon. Transportation assistance is available for our home-bound
parishioners.
- Our
New Member Ministry has
implemented a welcoming ministry to all of our newcomers, including
bread delivery. They also coordinate periodic welcome dinners for
newcomers to meet clergy and others.
Fellowship
and Program
- Our
Youth Group meets on Sunday mornings, as well as for various events.
- Acolytes
include young women and men from 4th grade through high school who lead the
processional and recessional, and assist the clergy during the service.
