Holy Week & Easter
Holy Week and Easter Offerings 2020
As we navigate this world of virtual church, we know that the usual way we connect to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus must be modified and may seem unsatisfying. Holy Week normally involves our heart, soul, and all our senses as we come together for worship. We long to hear the swishing of the palms on Palm Sunday and to feel the emotions of the Reading of the Passion. The foot washing, Stripping of the Altar, the emptiness of the sanctuary, the dark church being transformed by the Vigil fire, and the smell of Easter flowers may not be part of our Easter journey this year. We will, however, have time to pray, hear music, celebrate, and be in fellowship virtually. These links and broadcasts listed below will help us all to know that Easter happens, whether the doors to the church are open or not.
This Booklet, The Three Days Community and Home Worship, will add to your home practice of worship and prayer. We invite you to use this booklet in online community worship on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. (See blow for details.)
